I went with apple in early 2009, and been very happy, but as of late, the direction they were taking with hardware (soldering RAM and/or SSDs to the mobo, using inordinate amounts of glue for batteries, etc) meant that I was seriously considering ditching them. I hope that in the next seven years, apple reconsiders, and let people boot other OSs from bare metal, bt I am not holding my breath. Boot Camp is Apple's software which allows Intel Mac Users to boot their computers into Windows.
